Vice President Kamala Harris, during a wide-ranging interview Tuesday with members of the National Association of Black Journalists, denounced baseless claims and “hateful rhetoric” from former president Donald Trump regarding Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio. Harris also pitched proposals to make child care more affordable and said she is working to earn the votes of Black men. Trump held a town-hall event in Flint, Mich., on Tuesday, marking his return to the campaign trail after a potential assassination attempt Sunday at his golf club in West Palm Beach, Fla.
